DJ Shakti Rising, aka Sitara, born & raised in NE Portland, Oregon, birthed and produced the wonderful Unity Ecstatic Dance Ashland for 4.5 years, an amazing era of next generation Ecstatic Dance in Ashland. Sitara has been a dancer since she can remember & has been devoted to music and dance for the last 35+ years. She has been in the worldwide network of Ecstatic Dance for over 18 years, a foundational practice for her self care, channeling energy in a healthy way, personal growth, transformations, joy and building community.
Shakti Rising weaves a diverse full spectrum journey of yummy, conscious, fun, sexy, activating, deep & High Vibe & Next Level musical musings ~ Tribal & World Beats/Bass, Temple/Medicine Bass, Trap, Organic infused Electronic, Sacred Soundscapes, Sultry, Soulful, Live & Elemental Infusions to Initiate opening, release, healing, expansion, inspiration, playfulness, transmutation of dense energy and ultimately transcending into heart opening realms of blissfull ecstatic liberation.
